A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD REGARDING A REQUEST BY
THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO
TAKE LEGISLATIVE ACTION TO APPROVE THE
PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 4 TO COUNTY
SERVICE AREA NO. 60 (EAST OF STATE ROUTE
99 BETWEEN SEVENTH STANDARD ROAD AND
NORRIS ROAD).
WHEREAS, a proposal for the Annexation No. 4 to the
County Service Area No. 60 within the City of Bakersfield Sphere
of Influence, located east of State Route 99 between Seventh
Standard Road and Norris Road, has been filed with the Local
Agency Formation Commission pursuant to Title 5, Division 3, com-
mencing with Section 56090 of the Government Code, to provide
services to the area described in the formation documents; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has
determined the area involved is within the Sphere of Influence of
the City of Bakersfield and has notified the City of Bakersfield
in writing, pursuant to Section 56841(h) of the Cortese-Knox
Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, and Local Agency
Formation Commission: Procedures, Standards and Policies for the
Evaluation of Proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the Council approves Annexation No. 4 to
said County Service Area No. 60 and declares and represents that
the City of Bakersfield does not intend to provide the services
proposed to be provided by the proposed Annexation No. 4 to
County Service Area No. 60.
