Gentlemen: We have performed a preliminary site assessment at ~he subject site consisting of soil sampling and laboratory testing in accor- dance with the requirements of Kern County Health Department Hand- book UI 30. Soil samples were retrieved at two (2.0) and six (6.0) fee~ below the bottom of the 500 gallon fuel tank at the subject site. Soil samples were obtained by our representative in accordance with E.P.A. sampling procedure. Soil samples were placed in clean glass jars, s~ored on ice and delivered to the laboratory for the testing outlined in the permit.
