This 4,000 cubic yards of soil will then be used to backfill the three chamber clarifier
system excavation pit along with enough imported fill to return the excavation to
surface grade.
The remaining 3,500 cubic yards of asphaltic residuals from the tank bottoms pits and
moderately petroleum hydrocarbons impacted soil from the truck wash earthen
clarifiers will be thoroughly mixed with the solid asphaltic material pulverized using
a Bomag Reclaimer so that no fragment exceeds 2 1/2 inches in diameter. This
material will then be applied for dust control to the rear two thirds of the property at
a thickness .not to exceed three inches (Figure 2).
