Dear SIRS:
Upon review of your recently submitted laboratory results, we have
determined that the extent of the contamination has been adequately
defined. The concentration' of contaminants found are below our
recommended action levels. Based upon this information, we consider
this abandonment and assessment complete.

Attention: Janis Lehman
Subject: Soils Report and Logs for (4) Tank Removals at Alpine and Union Avenue,
Bakersfield, CA
Ms. Lehman:
Submitted herewith are the soil contamination results and loggings that we
performed on the remo, val of (3) 2,000 gallon gasoline tanks and (1) 550 gallon
waste oil tank on February 19, 1987 for Mosesian Development, 1700 Chester
Avenue, Bakersfield, CA.
Samples of soil for analysis of contamination were taken below each tank
at depths of 2'-0" and 6'-0". Each sample was put in a glass container and
taken to B. C. Laboratories, Inc. for testing.
As shown on the contamination test results there is no evidence of contamination
in any of the test holes.
The soil logs, a drawing showing the tank and test hole locations and test
results for contamination are attached.
RECO~ENDATIONS
Due to the soils ty~e and level of contamination found at the site, we conclude
that the site should be backfilled and compacted to 90% of the Maximum Dry
Density in accordance with AS~ D-1557,'in 8" layer~~
