Gene:
Thank you for. faxing me the MSDS for the carpet maintainer. If you will not be
stocking this product in the future and the remaining stock is less than 55 gallons, you
may delete it from your hazardous materials inventory. I also noted from the fax that the
name of your company may have been changed to Cleanway Sanitary. Therefore, I
have enclosed a printout of your plan so that you can make any necessary revisions.
Deletions from the inventory can be crossed out with a notation to delete. Inventory
additions must be made using the enclosed inventory form...Other minor revisions to the
company name, text or inventory can be made by crossing out the'old and writing in the
new information.
Please revise the printout of your hazardous materials business plan and inventory
and return it to me by April 221 1993. Call me at 326-3979 if I can be of assistance.

Mr. Spinozzi:
Please use the enclosed hazardous materials inventory to correct the hazardous
component listing for the product called carpet maintainer. The inventory on file
indicates that this product is 95% sodium and 5% ethylene glycol. It is unlikely that the
product contains so much elemental sodium. Please review the material safety data
sheets to find out what sodium compound should be reported.
This inventory revision should be submitted to this office by 10-15-92., Call me at
326-3979 if you have any questions.

Mr. Spinozzi:
Based upon my phone conversation this morning with Brenda
McClean, I understand that you have purchased the chemical
inventory previously owned by Odorite Janitorial Supply. It will
be necessary for you to submit a new hazardous materials management
plan for the Bakersfield Supply facility located at 420 E.
California Ave. If any of the products contain 1% or more of an
acutely hazardous material (AHM), please report them on the green
AHM registration form as well. A listing of AHMs is attached. The
products containing hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid or
formaldehyde were the AHMs which Odorite previously reported. I
have included all the forms which need to be completed. The plan
must be submitted to Bakersfield Fire, Hazardous Materials Division
at 2130 G St. by August 29, 1991.
If you have eliminated the chemical inventory at 220
Industrial St., be sure to notify Kern County Fire, Hazardous
Materials Bureau~ Until you make a notification of closure or
inventory elimination, they will continue to bill you for a yearly
hazardous materials handler fee. ~
Please call me at 326-3979 if you have questions regarding
completion of the hazardous materials, management plan.
Sincerely,
Barbara Brenner

Ms. McClean:
Based on our conversation today, I understand that Odorite no
longer owns any chemical inventory having sold it to Bakersfield
Supply. Because Odorite Inc. still exists, for legal purposes and
owns vehicles only, it will be necessary to file a request for
exemption from hazardous materials reporting requirements.
Complete sections 1, 4 and 5 of the attached form to request
exemption.
If I can be of any assistance, please call me at 326-3979.
