The tanks have not been properly permitted' and have been out of service, therefore, you are in violation of the following sections of the Uniform Fire Code as adopted by the Bakersfield Municipal Code, Chapter 15.64, Ordinance No. 3502: Section 79.115 (a, b, & f) Uniform Fire Code (1992 edition). (a) Failure to remove or safeguard an out of service tank(s) (b) Failure to obtain a permit to remove or temporarily close an underground storage tank. (f) Failure to remove an underground tank out of service for one (1) year. In order to avoid regulatory action, youmust either properly permit and bring the tanks up to code, or else apply for a proper abandonment and removal of the tanks within 14 days of this notice.
