SAFETY MEETING
1. ME3MODS FOR SAFE HANDLING OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS
Treat '.all chemicals as flamable and toxic or hazardous. Keet away from
heat, sparks and fire. Do not leave containers open. Use only with
adequate ventilation and avoid prolonged or repeted breathing of vapors.
Avoid prolonged or repeted contact with the skin and avoid contact with
your eyes. Wear rubber gloves and a face shield any time you handle or
use any chemicals or hazardous materials.
2. EMERGENCY RESPONSE
All accidents are to be reported to Miles McKni§ht, Richard Hillard or
Tom Shelton. Medical treatment, for persons we can transport, will be
provided by Dr. Willard Christinson's office, 2021 22nd Street, phone
number 327-9617. Should the person not be able to be transported we will
call the 911 emergency n,~mher, as well as Dr. Christinson's office for
any instructions prior to the arrival of the emergency response team.
Chemical spills will also be reported to Miles McKnight, Richard Hillard
or Tom Shelton. One of these individuals will make the proper, determination
as to the course of action to be taken with regard to the spill.
3. FIRE OR OTHER EMERGENCY REQUIRING EVACUATION OF BUILDING.
At the first sign of fire or emergency requiring evacuation of the building,
yell out for help and use the nearest fire extingusher to put out the fire.
If the fire is to large or out of control, call the 911 emergency number and
notify others to evacuate the building. Notify Miles McKni§ht, Richard
Hillard or Tom Shelton at once, if possible, and announce over the Comm.
line loud speaker.
Do not attempt to be a hero and fight a fire that is out of control or
to big for you to handle. You can be overcome by toxic fumes, and or
lack of oxygen.
