A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD OPPOSING A REQUEST BY
THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO
TAKE LEGISLATIVE ACTION REGARDING THE
PROPOSED ANNEXATION NO. 3 TO COUNTY
SERVICE AREA NO. 11, SOUTHEAST AREA -
SOUTH OF PACHECO ROAD, EAST OF SOUTH
UNION AVENUE (REXLAND ACRES).
WHEREAS, a proposal for Annexation No. 3 to County
Service Area No. 11 within the City of Bakersfield Sphere of
Influence, located south of Pacheco Road and east of South Union
Avenue, has been fi].ed with the Local Agency Formation Commission
pursuant to Title 5,. Division 3, commencing with Section 56000 of
the Government Code,. to provide services to the area described in
the formation documents; and
WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission has
determined the area involved is within the Sphere of Influence of
the City of Bakersfield and has notified the City of Bakersfield
in writing, pursuant to Section 56841(h) of the Cortese-Knox
Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985, and Local Agency
Formation Commission: Procedures, Standards and Policies for the
Evaluation of Proposals.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the Council opposes Annexation No. 3 to
said County Service Area No. 11 and declares and represents that
the City of Bakersfield does intend to provide the services
proposed to be provided by the proposed Annexation No. 3 to
County Service Area No. ll.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
