A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF '£~u~ CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING CLOSURE OF
"G" STREET BETWEEN CALIFORNIA AVENUE
AND 14TH STREET TOVEHICULARTRAFFIC
DURING CERTAIN HOURS.
WHEREAS, "G" Street between California Avenue and 14th
Street divides the Bakersfield High School campus; and
WHEREAS, 'when school is in session, students at
Bakersfield High School must cross "G" Street at various points
between California Avenue and 14th Street in order to get to
classes; and
WHEREAS, traffic on "G" Street between California
Avenue and 14th Street when school is in session creates a safety
hazard for the students of Bakersfield High School, especially
during the lunch hours; and
WHEREAS, .closure of "G" Street between California
Avenue and 14th Street at certain hours is necessary for the
protection of persolns attending school.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
"G" Street, between California Avenue and 14th Street,
shall be closed to 'vehicular traffic between 10:30 a.m. and 12:45
p.m. on weekdays until November 1, 1990, and between 7:30 a.m.
and 3:00 p.m. thereafter, while school is in session.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on AH8 9 2 1998 , by the
following vote:
