RESOLUTION NO. 79-90
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF 11.25
FEET ON THE EAST SIDE OF JEWETT AVENUE AND
THE WEST SIDE OF #O" STREET IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on May 16, 1990, the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public Streets,
Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law," being Chapter 3 of
Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No.
1073 declaring its intention to order the vacation of 11.25 feet
on the east side of Jewett Avenue and the west side of "0" Street
in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California;
and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed vacation,
which said hearing was held on WEDNESDAY, JUNE 27, 1990, after
notices were duly published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the vacation of 11.25 feet on the east side of
Jewett Avenue and the west side of "O" Street in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particu-
larly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective street or ease-
ment purposes.
2. That the vacation of 11.25 feet on the east side of
Jewett Avenue and the west side of "O" Street in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, be and the same
is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street
purposes. Reference to said Resolution of Intention No. 1073 is
hereby made for further particulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

Two (2) strips of land situated in the Northwest quarter of Section 19, Township
29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.M., in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern,
State of California, more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL 1
The East 11.25 feet of Jewett Avenue bounded on ~]e South by the South line of
38th Street and bounded on the North by the Westerly prolongation of the North
line of the South 182 feet of Lot 1 of Block 665 as said streets, lot and block
are shown on "Map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County California" filed
November 25, 1898 in ~%e office of the Kern County Recorder.

The West 11.25 feet of "O" Street bounded on the South by the South line of the
North 12.75 feet of 38th Street and bounded on the North by the Easterly prolon-
gation of ~]e North line of the South 182 feet of Lot 1 of Block 665 as said
streets, lot and block are shown on said "Map of the City of Bakersfield".
RESERVING ~tEREFRC~I a nonexclusive easement and right of way for public
utilities, to lay, construct, operate, maintain, repair, reconstruct, change
the size of or remove pipelines, conduits, cable, wires, poles or any other
structures, fixtures or equipment, in, under, across, over and upon the entire
