Dea~ Sir: This department has reviewed 'the laboratory analysis results for the above referenced project. These results indicate high .levels of 0il and Grease contamination in the sample taken two feet below the tank bottom. These levels, however, substantially attenuate to below the laboratory detection limits in the sample taken six. feet below the tank bottom. This department will not require that any further work be done on either defining the extent of contamination or remediating the site. Based upon the lab results the con'~amination appears to be limited to the immediate vicinity of the tank excavation. The limited extent of the contamination, .along with-the nature of the contaminant, depth tO groundwater and the future use of the proper~y do not necessitate any further investigation of this site. If you have any.questions,-please call me at (805) 861-3636.
