A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE LOAN OF PARKING
METERS TOTHE CALIFORNIA LIVING MUSEUM.
WHEREAS, the California Living Museum (hereinafter
"CALM") is a nonprofit organization operating a facility which is
an educational resource of benefit to all citizens of this
community; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield (hereinafter "CITY")
wishes to promote CALM as an attraction for its own citizens and
for visitors to the area; and
WHEREAS, the City has twelve parking meters which are
no longer required for parking purposes; and
WHEREAS, CALM has found a use for such parking meters
which would help it to raise contributions for its ongoing
operations and for promotion of its resources.
NOW, T~RREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The City of Bakersfield shall loan to the California
Living Museum twelve, parking meters which are no longer in use by
the City. CALM may use such meters on its premises for
promotional and fund-raising purposes for ten years from the date
of this resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on ~CT 1 1 1989 , by the
