A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING SECTION 9 (D) OF
RESOLUTION NO. 10-89 ADOPTED ON JANUARY 18,
1989, SETTING SALARIES AND RELATED BENEFITS
FOR OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE GENERAL
SUPERVISORY, POLICE SUPERVISORY AND
MANAGEMENT UNITS.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Bakersfield,
Section 12, authorizes the City Council to provide for salaries
and related benefits for officers and employees of the City; and
WHEREAS, the recently negotiated Memorandum of Under-
standing (MOU) for fire captains, fire engineers, and firefighters
contained a change in the amount of clothing allowance paid semi-
annually; and
WHEREAS, the higher negotiated clothing allowance was
inadvertently omitted from Resolution No. 10-89.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield. as follows:
SECTION 9.(D) of Resolution No. 10-89 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
D. Fire ~ianagement - Effective April 1, 1989, Fire
Management employees shall have a uniform allowance as follows:
FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) for the 1989
year, payments shall be made as follows:
TWO HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) payable
on or before July 1, 1989; and TWO HUNDRED
FIFTY DOLLARS ($250.00) payable on or before
December 1, 1989.
SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($600.00) for the 1990
year, payments shall be made as follows:
THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) payable
on or before July 1, 1990; and THREE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($300.00) payable on or before
December 1, 1990.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
