Permittee WHAT FARM BUSINESSES MUST COMPLY Any business operating a farm for purposes of cultivating the soil or raising or harvesting any agricultural or horticultural commodity which handles a hazardous material in a quantity at any time during the year of at least 500 pounds of a solid, 55 gallons of a liquid or 200 cubic feet of a compressed gas. A farm operating as a business must comply by following the instructions listed below: FARM/AG COMPLIANCE PROCEDURE A) Each building which contains any pesticides, petroleum fuels or oils, or fertilizers in an amount of at least 55 gallons of a liquid, 500 pounds of a solid, or 200 cubic feet of a compressed gas, shall conspicuously post warning signs as follows: 1) Signs shall be visible from any direction of probable approach. 2) Each sign shall be of such a size that it is readable from a distance of 25 feet. 3) The sign shall be repeated in an appropriate language other than E~glish when it may be reasonably anticipated that persons who do not understand English may enter the posted building. 4) Sign must be substantially similar to example attached on last page of this letter. B) Complete only the following sections as indicated: _/ ~ On Form 2A complete sections ! and 2. ~On Form 4A-3 list only hazardous materials that have not those been reported to the Agriculture Commission on the "ApplicationI Restricted Materials Permit" (Pesticide Enforcement Form 33-125). For the current year. This will include gasoline, diesel, L.P.G., and fertilizers (if they are classified as hazardous). yOn FOrm 5 complete the form according to the instructions. Provide a copy of the completed "Application-Restricted Materials Permit" (Pesticide Enforcement Form 33-125) that was turned into the Agriculture Commission.
