A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF '£H~ CITY OF
BAKEP~FIRT.T~ AUTHORIZING '£~_~ MAYOR TO
EXEC~T~ 'rH~ AMENDMENT TO CO~'rKACT NO.
88-FESG-020 (CITY CO~'£~(ACT NO. 88-90) WITH
THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTmEnT OF HOUSING AND
COt~F~NITY DEVELOPt~ENT FOR THE FEDERAL

W~KK~AS, Contract No. 88-FESG-020 (City Contract No.
88-90) was executed on April 22, 1988, between the Department of
Housing and Community Development (hereinafter "Department") and
the City of Bakersfield (hereinafter "City"); and
W-KREAS, Department and City wish to amend Contract
No. 88-FESG-020 (City Contract No. 88-90) to extend the
completion date to March 31, 1990, the close-out date to
April 30, 1990, and the expiration date to June 30, 1990; and
WHEREAS, Department requires a Resolution from the
governing body of the city authorizing the Mayor to execute the
above-mentioned Amendment.
NOW, THEiRFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The Mayor of the City of Bakersfield, Clarence E.
Medders, is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 of
Contract No. 88-FESG-020 (City Contract No. 88-90).
2. The City Clerk shall certify the passage of this
Resolution and shall cause two (2) certified copies hereof, and
seven (7) executed copies of the amended agreement to be mailed
to the State Department of Housing and Community Development,
Business Management Office, P.O. Box 952050, Sacramento,
California, 94252-2050.

I [~EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on August 9, 1989 , by the
following vote:
