RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD MAKING FINDINGS AND APPROVING
NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE EXTENSION OF
LOUISE AVENUE TO UNION AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the project is an extension of Louise Avenue
350 feet east to intersect with Union Avenue and the installation
of a traffic signal and four street lights at the Union/Louise
intersection to create an unbroken, 86 feet wide right-of-way
linking Watts Drive, Louise Avenue, and Wilson Road; and
WHEREAS, for the above-described project, an Initial
Study was conducted and it was determined that the proposed project
would not have a significant effect on the environment, and a
Negative Declaration with mitigation measures was prepared; and
WHEREAS, the law and regulations relating to the
preparation and adoption of Negative Declarations as set forth in
CEQA and the City of Bakersfield Resolution No. 107-86 have been
duly followed by the City staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that the Negative Declaration for the above-
described project is hereby approved and adopted.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 19th day of July, 1989 by the following
vote:
