RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD MAKING FINDINGS, APPROVING
NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE STOCKDALE
HIGHWAY WATER MAIN.
WHEREAS, the project is the installation of an 18-inch
water main approximately 1,370 feet long crossing the Kern River
and Cross Valley Canal located twenty feet south of and parallel
to the south right-of-way line of the new Stockdale Highway
Bridge; and
WHEREAS, for the above-described project, an Initial
Study was conducted, and it was determined that the proposed pro-
ject would not have a significant effect on the environment, and
a Negative Declaration was prepared; and
WHEREAS, the law and regulations relating to the prepa-
ration and adoption of Negative Declarations as set forth in CEQA
and City of Bakersfield Resolution No. 107-86 have been duly fol-
lowed by the City staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the Negative Declaration for the above-
described project is hereby approved and adopted.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 12th day of July , 1989 by the
following vote:
