RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REPLACEMENT SEAT COVERS CAN BE
REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR, AMERICAN
SEATING AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE
WITH BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.00.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that replacement seat covers for
the Civic Auditorium can be reasonably obtained from only one ven-
dor and has recommended that this Council authorize dispensing with
bidding therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that replacement seats covers
for the Civic Auditorium can be reasonably obtained from only one
vendor, because they are made to fit existing equipment to wit:
American Seating and authorizes the Finance Director to dispense
with bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of same from
such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on May 17, 1989 by the following
vote:
