A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD DELEGATING
AUTHORITY TO THE CITY MANAGER TO
SIGN PUBLIC EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT
SYSTEM APPLICATIONS FOR DISABILITY
RETIREMENT.
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield is a contracting agency
of the Public Employees Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, Government Code 21023(c) requires that an
application be made to the Public Employees Retirement System
by the governing body or an officia~ designated by the
governing body for diability retirement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that the City Manager is hereby authorized
to apply to the Public Employees Retirement System, fo:~ a
disability retirement of miscellaneous members unable to perform
the duties of their positions.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
