A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY AND FINDING THAT
SUCH SALE IS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF
THE CITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.20.125 B. of the Municipal
Code of the City o~ Bakersfield, the Council may authorize a nego-
tiated sale of real property when it finds that such sale is in
the best interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, ~aid Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed sale
o~ the City Fire Station, located at 1301 4th Street; and
WHEREAS, £~aid hearing was duly noticed and held on
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 12, 1989, in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That the sale of the City Fire Station, located
at 1301 4th Street, is in the best interests
of the City;
That the benefits to be derived by the C~ty justify
the ~ale price of $70,000.00; and
That the Mayor is authorized to execute the papers
of conveyance and conclude the sale of real property
pursuant to such other terms and conditions as are
acceptable to City staff.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on April 12, 1989 , by
the following vote:
