A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS TO SUBMIT SENATE
BILL 140 APPLICATIONS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has adopted Senate
Bill 140 (SB140) establishing a State-Local Transportation Demonstration Program
for the purpose of matchlng Local funds on Local street and highway projects;
and
WHEREAS, Local agencies must file project applications by June 30, 1989
and such applications must be filed by a person duly authorized by the governing
body of the Local agency; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works administers the City of
Bakersfield's street and road construction program and is in a position to file
project applications for participation in the Senate Bill 140 Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the City
Council of the City of Bakersfield hereby authorizes the Director of Public
Works to submit project applications to the State of California for
participation in the Senate Bill 140 State-Local Transportation Demonstration
Program.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted
