RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REPLACEMENT FILTERS CAN BE
REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR, BRACKEN
ASSOCIATES AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO
DISPENSE WITH BIDDING THERFOR, NOT TO EXCEED $6,000.00.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that replacement filters for
the Wastewater Treatment Plant can be reasonably obtained from only one
vendor and has recommended that this Council authorize dispensing
with bidding therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that replacement filters for
the Wastewater Treatment Plant can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor, because they are designed to work with the specialized
equipment currently installed to wit: Bracken Associates and
authorizes the Finance Director to dispense with bidding therefor
and to negotiate the purchase of same from such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on March 15, 1989 by the following
vote:
