A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ESTABLISHING THE BAKERSFIELD
EDUCATIONAL STUDIES AREA ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the Kern River Parkway Plan was adopted by the
City of Bakersfield on November 30, 1988; and
WHEREAS, the City has been working to formalize long
range plans to manage the City's River properties; and
WHEREAS, the City believes that the Bakersfield Educational
Studies Area, located between Coffee Road and the Stockdale
Highway Bridge, and the City owned 2800 Acre Recharge Area would
benefit from a committee's comment on the management of these
areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The Co~lncil of the City of Bakersfield hereby
establishes a conservation advisory committee to advise upon the
management of the Bakersfield Educational Studies Area located
between Coffee Road and the Stockdale Highway Bridge, and the
City owned 2800 Acre Recharge Area. The committee shall be
entitled the Bakersfield Educational Studies Area Advisory
Committee.
2. The Bakersfield Educational Studies Area Advisory
Committee shall be comprised of nine (9) members as follows:
