A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY COUNCIL TO
IMPOSE THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE TO PRIVATE
ROADS IN MOBILE HOME PARKS AND
MANUFACTURED HOUSING COMMUNITIES.
WHEREAS, California Vehicle Code §21107.9 allows cities to apply the
provisions of the California Vehicle Code to mobile home parks and manufactured
housing communities and the pdvate roads therein through the adoption of a resolution;
and
WHEREAS, before the adoption of such standards for any mobile home park or
manufactured housing community, a proper request under Vehicle Code §21107.9 must
be made; and
WHEREAS, upon proper request, the City of Bakersfield may apply the California
Vehicle Code to mobile home parks and manufactured housing communities and the
private roads therein and authorize the owners of said mobile home parks or
manufactured housing communities to erect traffic signs, markings or devices which
conform to the Uniform Standards and Specifications adopted by the California
Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing is required before the adoption of this resolution
and such public hearing has been held as required under California Vehicle Code
§21107.9; and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield may also impose reasonable restrictions
under California Vehicle Code §21107.9.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
The foregoing recitals are true and correct and incorporated herein by
reference.
The City of Bakersfield may, upon proper request, apply the California
Vehicle Code to mobile home parks and manufactured housing
communities and the private roads therein and authorize the owners of
said mobile home parks or manufactured housing communities to erect
traffic signs, markings or devices which conform to the Uniform Standards
and Specifications adopted by the California Department of
Transportation.
The City of Bakersfield hereby applies the California Vehicle Code to the
Smoke Tree Mobile Estates and Smoke Tree RV Park at 4401 and 4435 ~"~

Hughes Lane and authorizes its owner(s) to erect traffic signs, markings or
devices which conform to the Uniform Standards and Specifications
adopted by the California Department of Transportation
The City of Bakersfield, through its City Manager, is hereby authorized to
impose reasonable conditions upon the owners of qualifying mobile home
parks or manufactured housing communities as allowed by California
Vehicle Code §21107.9.
