A RESOLUTION DECLARING REAL PROPERTY SURPLUS TO THE NEEDS OF THE CITY AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO NEGOTIATE ITS SALE WHEREAS, in 1970 the State of California rdinquished excess right-of-way to City; and, WHEREAS, the owner of the adjacent parcel has requested the City sell this property described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto to incorporate into owners development. WHEREAS, on November 4, 1999, the Hamring Commission found the sale of this property to be consistent with the Metropolitan Bakersfield 2010 General Plan pursuant to Government Code Section 65402. WHEREAS, Bakersfield Municipal Code 3.20.125 authorizes the negotiated sale of City property deemed to be "surplus". NOW, THEREFOR[;, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakers field as follows: 1. The foregoing findings and recitals are true, con'ect, and incorporated herein. 2. Real Property located on the east side of Oswell Street approximately 500 feet south of Highway 178 is hereby declared surplus to the City's needs and the Finance Director is authorized to negotiate its sale. The real property is more fully described and depicted in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached hereto and incorporated as though fully set forth.
