A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD APPROVING THE TRANSFER
OF FUNDS FROM THE MAYOR'S SALARY ACCOUNT
TO THE MAYOR'S OPERATING ACCOUNT.
WHEREAS, Section 20 (c) of the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield provides that the Mayor shall receive an annual salary
of $24,000.00; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Medders has, in writing, waived twenty-five
percent (25%) of said salary and requested that such amount be
transferred to the Mayor's operating account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that the request of Mayor Medders is approved and
three thousand dollars

Mayor's Salary
I hereby waive 25% of the $24,000 annual Mayor's salary specified
in the Charter of the City of Bakersfield and request that the
City Council adopt the attached resolution transferring $3,000.00
for the balance of this fiscal year (1988-89) from the Mayor's
salary account to the Mayor's operating account.
