RESOLUTION OF ThY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTIIORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF
PUBLIC WORKS TO SIGN AN APPLICATION BY
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD FOR AN ORDER
AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF THE SEPARA-
TION STRUCTURE OVER THE MAIN LINE TRACKS
OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRANSPORTATION
COMPANY ON UNION AVENUE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakers-
field as follows:
SECTION 1. The Director of Public Workb is hereby
authorized to sign, on behalf of the City of Bakersfield, an
Application by the said City to the Public Utilities Cor~nission
of the State of California for an Order authorizing construction
of a separation structure over the mainline and auxiliary
tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company on
Union Avenue.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk is directed to attest the
execution of this Application.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this resolution, and it shall thereupon
take effect and be in force.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of
February , 1983, by the following vote:
