HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 18-83RESOLUTION NO. 18-83 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 133-82 TO CLARIFY AND DEFINE TERMS USED THEREIN. WHEREAS, on December 8, 1982, the Council of the City of Bakersfield did adopt its Resolution No. 133-82, which resolu- tion established fees, in lieu of dedication of land, for interim classroom and related facilities in the Panama Union School District pursuant to Chapter 15.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code; and,. WHEREAS, the fee schedule adopted by Resolution No. 133-82 distinguished between "single-family dwellings" and "condominiums" for the purpose of assessing fees for interim school facilities, which distinction was based on the difference in student load result- ing from detached single-family residences and attached, cluster development units; and WHEREAS, "condominiums" may be either detached single- family dwellings or attached, cluster development units, and the use of such classification adds unnecessary ambiguity to the applica- tion of the adopted fee schedule; and WHEREAS, the classifications set forth below reflect the rationale underlying the adopted fee schedule, are intended as a clarification rather than as an amendment thereof, and the amount of fees remains as set by Resolution No. 133-82. The following fees are hereby imposed upon application for a building permit in accordance with Chapter 15.70 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code within that portion of the Panama Union School District lying within the boundaries of the City of Bakersfield: Each detached single-family dwelling and each attached single-family dwelling having ownership of underlying lot and own frontage on public or private street -- three or more bedrooms ............... $1,300 Each detached single-family dwelling and each attached single-family dwelling having ownership of underlying lot and own frontage on public or private street -- less than three bedrooms ............. $ 700 Each attached single-family dwelling not having ownership of underlying lot or not having own frontage on public or private street -- and each residential mobilehome ................................. $ 500 .......... o0o ...........
