A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SUPPORTING THE ADOPTION OF
ASSEMBLY BILLS 40 AND 514.
WHEREAS, Assembly Bills 40 and 514 propose to allow
designation of certain areas as capable of receiving special
benefits to attract the private sector investment; and
WHEREAS, private sector investment is essential to the
economic redeveiopment of certain impacted areas, and
WHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has an area that would
benefit from passage of these bills.
NOW, THEREFOREf BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The City Council of the City of Bakersfield supports
Assembly Bills 40 and 514 and urges the State legislators to
support the passage of the concepts expressed in these two bills°

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of Augustr 1983~ by
