A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPART-
MENT TO PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING PROGRAMS
SPONSORED BY THE CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL.
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of Bakersfield
desires to participate from time to time in certain training pro-
grams sponsored and administered by the Department of California
Highway Patrol; and
WHEREAS, the California Highway Patrol requires a resolu-
tion authorizing the participation of the Police Department in its
programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
1) that the Bakersfield City Police Department is
hereby authorized to participate in training programs sponsored
and administered by the California Highway Patrol; and
2) that the Chief of Police is hereby authorized to
enter into agreements to participate from time to time in such
programs with the California Highway Patrol.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on November 9, 1988 , by
the following vote:
