RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN USED CARS CANNOT BE REASONABLY
OBTAINED THROUGH USUAL BIDDING PROCEDURES AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Fire and Public Works Departments are
in need of used cars of a variety of makes and models, to be used for Police
surveillance and City business, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has recommended
that this Counci! find, that used cars for the Police, Fire and Public Works
departments cannot reasonably be obtained by usua! bidding procedures in
accordance with Section 3.20.060 B of the Bakersfield Muncipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Counci! of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
Counci! hereby finds that ten used cars cannot be reasonably
obtained through the usual bidding procedure, and authorizes the Finance
Director to dispense with bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of
same.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the toregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council ot the City ot BaKerstield at a regular
meeting thereot held on $epte~tber 14, 1988 by the following
vote:
