A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF
SURPLUS REAL PROPERTY AND FINDING THAT
SUCH SALE IS IN THE BEST INTERESTS OF
THE CITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3.20.125 B. of the Municipal
Code of the City of Bakersfield, the Council may authorize a nego-
tiated sale of real property when it finds that such sale is in
the best interests of the City; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed sale
of the Police Pistol Range, located at 3419 Truxtun Avenue, south
of Westwind Drive; and
WHEREAS, said hearing was duly noticed and held on
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 1988, in the Council Chambers of City Hall,
1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield, California.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That the sale of the Police Pistol Range, located
at 3419 Truxtun Avenue, south of Westwind Drive, is
in the best interests of the City;
That the benefits to be derived by the City justify
the sale price of $1,100,000;
That the Mayor is authorized to execute the papers
of conveyance and conclude the sale of real property
pursuant to such other terms and conditions as are
acceptable to City staff; and
That a real estate sales commission of five percent
(5%) of the sales price is authorized to be paid
from the proceeds of the sale.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on August 17, ]988 , by
