A RESOiLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SPECIFYING THAT ALL PORTIONS OF
THE PROPOSED ROSEDALE NO. 4 ANNEXATION SHALL
UPON ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD
SEPARATION OF GRADE DISTRICT (WARD 4).
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the annexa-
tion of certain unincorporated territory, designated as ROSEDALE
NO. 4 to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said territory lies outside the Greater Bakers-
field Separation of Grade District; and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highway Code of
the State of California provides that the unincorporated territory
of a county which was not included within a separation of grade
district at the time of formation of such district, and which sub-
sequent to formation of such district is annexed to or otherwise
included within a city which is a part of such district, shall
immediately upon such annexation to such city be included within
the district and shall thereafter become a part of the district to
the same extent as such city; except such portion or portions
thereof which the City Council has determined will not be benefited
by inclusion in the district.
WHEREAS, on July 6, 1988, the Council of the City of
Bakersfield adopted. its Resolution No. 140-88 specifying that
unless excluded by the City Council, all portions of proposed
Rosedale No. 4 Annexation shall, upon annexation to the City of
Bakersfield, be included within the Greater Bakersfield Separation
of Grade District, and setting WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 1988, at the
hour of 7:00 P.M. (or soon thereafter as the matter could be
heard) in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue,
Bakersfield, California, as the time, date and place to hear any
objections to proposed annexation and inclusion within said dis-
trict and said notice was published as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing was duly and regularly con-
ducted by and before the City Council at its meeting of AUGUST 17,
1988, in all respects in accordance with Resolution No. 140-88.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. In accordance with Section 8294 of the Streets and
Highways Code, the City Council has heard all relevant and perti-
nent objections, if any, to inclusion within the Greater Bakers-
field Separation of Grade District of any portion or portions of
the territory described as Rosedale No. 4, as described in Exhibit
2. In accordance with Section 8295 of the Streets and
Highways Code, at its discretion, the City Council determined that
all portions of the territory should be included in the Greater
Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, as all such territory is
benefited by such inclusion.
3. All portions of said unincorporated territory shall,
upon annexation to the City of Bakersfield, be included within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District.
4. In accordance with Section 8296 of the Streets and
Highways Code, the Clerk shall notify the Secretary of the
District and shall furnish such Secretary with a certified copy of
this resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on Auqust 17, 1988 , by

A parcel of land situated in the County of Kern, State of California, being a
portion of the West half of Section 26, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.
& M., more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point of intersection of the West line of the
Southwest: quarter of said Section 26 and the Southerly boundary
line of the Cross Valley Canal, said point of intersection which bears
North 00049'55" East a distance of 2303.04 feet from the Southwest
corner of Section 26, said point of intersection being a point on
the Existing Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (1) departing from the Corporate Boundary of the City of
Bakersfield North 00049'55" East along the West line of the
Southwest quarter of Section 26, a distance of 343.55 feet
to the Northwest corner of the Southwest quarter of Section 26;
Thence (2) No~th 00053'18" East alol%g the West lble of
Northwest quarter of Section 26, a distance of 1025.43
feet to the Southwest corner of Parcel 3 of Parcel
Map Waiver No. 584 as shown on certificate of compliance
filed in the office of the Kern County Recorder on
November 7, 1985 in Book 5813, Page 2417;
Thence (3) South 89013'42" East along the South line of
Parcel 2 & 3 of said Parcel Map Waiver No. 584 and the
Easterly prolongation thereof, a distance of 1322.96
feet to The point of intersection of the Centerline of
Gibson Street (Co. RD. No. 1270) and the Centerline of
Burr Street (Co. Rd. No. 1415);
Thence (4) continuing East along the Centerline of said
Burr Street, a distance of 20 feet to the East line of
said Co. Rd. No. 1270, said East line also being on
and along the Existing Corporate Boundary of the City of
Bakersfield;
Thence (5.) South, West and south along various courses
of the said Corporate Boundary to the Point of Beginning.
Containing 35.82 acres of land, more or less
