A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD AUTHORIZING COLLECTION OF
ASSESSMENTS BY THE KERN COUNTY TAX
COLLECTOR.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield has
passed Resolutions No. 228-87 (Assessment District 86-1), No.
165-86 (Assessment Districts 86-2B, 86-2C and 86-2D), No. 202-87
(Assessment District 87-1), No. 148-87 (Assessment District 87-2)
and No. 87-88 (Assessment District 87-3) levying assessments for
assessment districts in the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, Section 8680 of the California Streets and
Highways Code requires that the annual proportion of each assess-
ment coming due in any year, together with the annual interest on
the assessment, shall be payable in the same manner and at the
same time and in the same installments of the City on real prop-
erty are payable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The above recitals are found to be true and correct.
2. The Tax Collector of the County of Kern, and such
other County officers as may be required, are hereby authorized to
place the above-mentioned assessments on the secured roll of the
County and collect such assessments in the same manner as ad
valorem property taxes.
3. The City Clerk shall transmit said assessments to the
Director of Finance with instructions to submit same to the Kern
County Auditor-Controller and Tax Collector.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on July 27, 1988 , by
the following vote:
