A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD SPECIFYING THAT, UNLESS EXCLUDED
BY COUNCIL, ALL PORTIONS OF THE PROPOSED
RENFRO NO. 1 ANNEXATION SHALL UPON ANNEXATION
TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, BE INCLUDED
WITHIN THE GREATER BAKERSFIELD SEPARATION OF
GRADE DISTRICT WHEN CONTIGUOUS THERETO, AND
SETTING HEARING FOR OBJECTIONS THERETO.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been commenced for the annexa-
tion of certain unincorporated territory, designated as RENFRO
NO. 1 to the City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said territory lies outside the Greater Bakers-
field Separation of Grade District; and
WHEREAS, Section 8290 of the Streets and Highway Code of
the State of California provides that the unincorporated territory
of a county which was not included within a separation of grade
district at the time of formation of such district, and which sub-
sequent to formation of such district is annexed to or otherwise
included within a city which is a part of such district, shall
immediately upon such annexation to such city be included within
the district and shall thereafter become a part of the district to
the same extent as such city; except such portion or portions
thereof which the City Council has determined will not be benefited
by inclusion in the district.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. That a description of the unincorporated territory
described in the annexation proceedings, is attached hereto and
marked Exhibit "A", and shown on the map attached hereto, marked
Exhibit "B".
2. That unless any portion shall be excluded by the City
Council, all portions of said unincorporated territory shall, upon
annexation to the City of Bakersfield, be included within the
Greater Bakersfield Separation of Grade District, at the time said
territory becomes contiguous to said district.
3. That WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 17, 1988, at the hour of 7 P.M.
(or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard) in the Council
Chambers of City Hall, 1501 Truxtun Avenue, Bakersfield,
California, is the time when and the place where objections to
inclusion within the district will be heard.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on July 6, 1988 , by

Thence (14) Easterly along said curve through a central angle of
07031'25" an arc distance of 269.85 feet;
Thence (15) South 81050'43" East along a line parallel with and
55.00 feet Northeasterly of, as measured perpendicularly from the
new Centerline of Stockdale Highway as shown on Tract 4444, Unit A
filed September 3, 1985 per Map Book 34, Page 146 in the Office of
the Recorder of the County of Kern, a distance of 125.52 feet to
the beginning of a 1,945.00 foot radius curve concave to the
North;
Thence (16) Easterly along said curve through a central angle of
07031'25" an arc distance of 255.40 feet to a tangent point on
the North line of said Section 2;
Thence (17) S~]th 89022'08" East along said North line, 1,003.87
feet mere or less, to the Northeast corner of said Section 2 as
shown on Parcel Map 4687 filed February 13, 1979 per Map Book 22,
Page 76 in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Kern;
Thence (18) S~th 0°31'36" West along the East line of said
Section 2, a distance of 2.89 feet ~re or less, to a point on the
South right-of-way line of Stockdale Highway (Co. Rd. No.696) also
being a point on the existing Corporate Boundary of the City of
Bakersfield;
Thence (19) Westerly along said Corporate Boundary to the Point
of Beginning.

RENFRO NO. 1
A parcel of land situated in the County of Kern, State of California,
being a portion of Sections 34 and 35, Township 29 South, Range 26
East, M.D.B.&M. and Sections 2 and 3, Township 30 South, Range 26
East, M.D.B.&M., more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point of intersection of the West line of the East 30
Feet of the Northeast i/4 of said Section 3 and the South line of the
North 30 Feet of the Northeast 1/4 of said Section 3, said point
being on the existing corporate boundary of the City of
Bakersfield;
Thence (1) West, along said South line, 25 feet to a point on the
West line of the East 55 feet of the Northeast 1/4 of said
Section 3;
Thence (2) North along said West line, 30 feet to a point on the
South line of said Section 34;
Thence (3) continuing North along $~st line of the East 55 feet
of said Section 34, a distance of 1,323.41 feet to a point on the
