A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE OFFICIAL LIST OF
DESIGNATED SPECIAL SPEED ZONES, PURSUANT
TO SECTION 10.24.020 OF THE BAKERSFIELD
MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant
to Section 10.24.020 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, desires to
enact prima facie speed limits on portions of roadways within the
City of Bakersfield; and
WHEREAS, said prima facie speed limits are enacted pursu-
ant to the provisions of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, said prima facie speed limits are being estab-
lished for a street in the City of Bakersfield, after a traffic
engineering survey was conducted; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
Under provisions of Section 10.24.020 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code, the prima facie speed limits for the following
streets, or portion thereof, are hereby determined and declared to
be as shown below, and shall be included in the official City
"List of Speed Zones":
a) Truxtun Avenue, from Pine Street to "F" Street,
to be thirty (30) miles per hour;
b) Truxtun Avenue, from "L" Street to "Q" Street,
to be thirty-five (35) miles per hour;
c) Truxtun Avenue, from Oak Street to Pine Street,
to be forty (40) miles per hour;
d) Wible Road, from Ming Avenue north to City limit,
to be forty-five (45) miles per hour;

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on __ JUNE 22, 1988 , by
the following vote:
