A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE
OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGETS
FOR THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA,
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1988-89.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Charter of the City of
Bakersfield and applicable ordinances, the City Manager of the
City of Bakersfield has heretofore presented to the City Council
proposed Operating and Capital Improvement budgets for the fiscal
year 1988-89; and
WHEREAS, the? City Council has reviewed said proposed
budgets for the fiscal year 1988-89; and
WHEREAS, puDlic hearings were held in the Council
Chambers of the City of Bakersfield on these budgets for the
cal year 1988-89; and

WHEREAS, said City Council has now considered these pro-
posed budgets as so submitted and all evidence at said public
hearing, with reference thereto, and has now made all changes and
amendments thereto which said City Council up to this time desires
to make therein; and
WHEREAS, the originals of said proposed budgets have now
been revised so as to reflect each and all of the amendments,
changes and modifications which the said City Council up to the
time of the adoption of this resolution believes should be made in
said proposed budgets as submitted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as foiLlows:
1. That the fiscal year 1988-89 budgets total
$127,739,853 with the Operating Budget totaling $97,127,853 and the
Capital Improvement Budget totaling $30,612,000; and
2. That th~ originals of the proposed Operating and
Capital Improvement budgets for the City of Bakersfield,
California, for the fiscal year 1988-89 as amended, modified
and corrected shall ~e placed on file in the office of the City
Clerk and shall be open to public inspection; and
3. That said City Council of the City of Bakersfield
does hereby approve and adopt the proposed Operating and Capital
Improvement budgets of the City of Bakersfield, California, for
the fiscal year 1988.-89 as so amended, modified and corrected,
and the same are incorporated herein by reference; and
4. That the said budgets for said fiscal year 1988-89 so
submitted, amended, modified, corrected and filed shall be the
budgets for the City of Bakersfield, California, for said fiscal
year 1988-89; and
5. That the City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution, and henceforth and hereafter the same shall be in
full force and effect.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
