RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN POLICE RADIOS CAN BE REASONABLY
OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR, MOTOROLA C AND E AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO EXCEED $15,000.00
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that replacement radios for the
Police Department can be reasonably obtained from only one vendor and
has recommended that this Council authorize dispensing with bidding
therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that replacement radios for
the Police Department can be obtained from only one vendor, because
the radio equipment must all be compatible, to wit: Motorola
C and E and authorizes the Finance Director to dispense with bid-
ding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of same from such ven-
dor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on May 18, 1988 , by
the following vote:
