RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION WORK CAN BE
REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR, MICON, AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO EXCEED $81,574.00 AND
AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that Construction work for the
Public Works Department can be reasonably obtained from only one
vendor and has recommended that this Council authorize dispensing
with bidding therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that Construction work for
the Public Works Department can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor, as set forth in the agreement with original property
owners, to wit: Micon and authorizes the Finance Director to dis-
pense with bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of same
from such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on March 16 1988 by
