A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD AMENDING THE OFFICIAL LIST OF
DESIGNATED SPECIAL SPEED ZONES, PURSUANT
TO SECTION 10.24.020 OF THE BAKERSFIELD
MUNICIPAL CODE.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield, pursuant
to Section 10.24.020 of the Bakersfield Municipal Code, desires to
enact prima facie speed limits on those portions of the roadways
within the City of Bakersfield, which have been undeveloped and no
speed zones established; and
WHEREAS, s~aid prima facie speed limits are enacted pursu-
ant to the provisions of the California Vehicle Code; and
WHEREAS, said prima facie speed limits are being estab-
lished for a street in the City of Bakersfield, after a traffic
engineering survey was conducted; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield as follows:
Under provisions of Section 10.24.020 of the Bakersfield
Municipal Code, the prima facie speed limits for the following
streets, or portion thereof, are hereby determined and declared to
be as shown below, and shall be included in the official City
"List of Speed Zones":
a)
Belle Terrace, from South "H" Street to South "P"
Street, to be thirty-five (35) miles per hour;
b)
Kentucky Street, from Union Avenue to Baker Street,
to be thirty-five (35) miles per hour;
c)
District Boulevard, from Pin Oak Park Boulevard to
Gosford Road, to be forty-five (45) miles per hour;
d) Park View Drive, from white Lane to Carvalho Court,
to be forty-five (45) miles per hour;
e)
Fairfax Road, from College Avenue to Paladino Drive,
to be forty-five (45) miles per hour.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on March 2, 1988 , by
the following vote:
