RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN MICROWAVE COMMUNICATION PARTS
CAN BE REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR,
MOTOROLA C & E, INC. AND AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE
DIRECTOR 10 DISPENSE WITH BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO
EXCEED $43,000.00.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that certain parts for the
Microwave Communication System can be reasonably obtained from only
one vendor and has recommended that this Council authorize dispens-
ing with bidding therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of
the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Counci! hereby finds that parts for the
Microwave Communication System can be obtained from only one vendor,
because of compatibility and interface ability with existing
system to wit: Motorola C & E, Inc. and authorizes the Finance
Director to dispense with bidding therefor and to negotiate the
purchase of same from such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on February 17, 1988 by
the following vote: ,
