RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR
BOILER BURNER CAN BE REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE
VENDOR, HEAT AND POWER EQUIPMENT COMPANY AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING THEREFOR, NOT TO EXCEED $7,000.00.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that replacement parts for boi|er
burner for the Public Works Department can be reasonably obtained
from only one vendor and has recommended that this Council author-
ize dispensing with bidding therefor in accordance with Section
3.20.060 B. of the Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that rep|acement parts for
boiler burner for the Public Works Department can be obtained from
only one vendor, because rep|acement parts must be compatible with
existing equipment to wit: Heat & Power Equipment Co. and author-
izes the Finance Director to dispense with bidding therefor and to
negotiate the purchase of same from such vendor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on November 18, 1987 , by
the following vote:
