A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD MAKING FINDINGS, ORDERING THE
TERRITOiRY DESIGNATED AS PROCEEDING NO. 940,
ANNEXATION NO. 314 (OLIVE DRIVE NO. 1),
ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, Resolution of Application No. 90-87, dated
May 20, 1987, was submitted to the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Kern County ("Commission") for the annexation of
territory of the City of Bakersfield designated as Proceeding No.
940, Annexation No. 314 (Olive Drive No. 1); and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing upon said pro-
posal was held before the Commission on the October 27, 1987;
and
WHEREAS, following said public hearing the Commission on
October 27, 1987. adopted its Resolution Making Determination,
being Resolution No. 87-35, recorded in Minute Book 34 of said
Commission; designating the City of Bakersfield as the conducting
authority and authorized said City to annex subject territory
without notice and hearing and without election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. The description of the exterior boundaries of the
territory annexed is contained in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and incorporated in this Resolution as though fully set forth
herein.
2. That the said territory designated as Proceeding No.
940, Annexation No. 314 (Olive Drive No. 1), and described
herein, and every ~art thereof, is hereby ordered annexed to the
City of Bakersfield.
3. That the Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
copy of this resolution ordering a change of organization, along
with any required remittance to cover the fees required by
Section 54902.5 of the Government Code, to the executive officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Kern County.
4. That the Executive Officer of the' Commission is
hereby requested to prepare and execute a certificate of comple-
tion and make the filings required by Part 4, Chapter 8 of the
Cortese-Knox Local Government Organization Act of 1985 and record
a certified copy of the certification of completion with the
recorder of Kern County, with the surveyor of Kern County and
with the Clerk of the City of Bakersfield.

meeting thereof held on November 4, 1987 , by

A parcel of land situated in the County of Kern, State of California being a
portion of Sections 15 and 16, Township 29 South, Range 27 East, M.D.B.&M., more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing on the North line of Parcel Map No. 4400, as filed in
Parcel Map Book 21 at Page 35, in the Office of the Kern County
Recorder. At a point on the West right of way line of Fruitvale
Avenue. The said point being 55 feet West of the East quarter corner
of Section 16, said point being on the Corporate Boundary of the City
of Bakersfield, said point being the True Point of Beginning;
THENCE (i) N 0°00'21" E, along the West right of way of Fruitvale
Avenue which is the West line of the East 55 feet of said Section 16,
a distance of 1992.45 feet to the North boundary of Tract No. 3662, as
filed in Map Book 25 at.Page 112 in the Office of the Kern County
Recorder;
THENCE (2) Easterly along said North line, a distance of 25 feet to
the West line of the East 30 feet of said Section 16;
THENCE (3) Northerly along the West right of way of Fruitvale Avenue
and said West line of the East 30 feet of Section 16, a distance of
604.32 to the South line of the North 55 feet of said Section 16;
THENCE (4) Easterly along said South line, a distance of 30.00 feet to
the East line of said Section 16 and also the West line of Section 15,
T. 29. S., R. 27 E., M.D.B.&M.;
THENCE (5) S 89°46'54" E, along the South line of the North 55 feet
of said Section 15 and said South right of way of Olive Drive, a
