A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE ABANDONMENT OF A
50-FOOT PORTION OF THE DEDICATED VEHICULAR
ACCESS RIGHTS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WHITE
LANE AT ITS INTERSECTION WITH SHELBY LOOP
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on September 30, 1987, the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public Streets,
Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law," being Chapter 3 of
Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No.
1034 declaring its intention to order the abandonment of a 50-foot
portion of the dedicated vehicular access rights on the south side
of White Lane at its intersection with Shelby Loop, in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hearing
all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed abandonment,
which said hearing was held on November 4, 1987, after notices
were duly published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That the abandonment of a 50-foot portion of the
dedicated vehicular access rights on the south side of White Lane
at its intersection with Shelby Loop, in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, more particularly described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof, is unneces-
sary for present or prospective public street purposes.
2. That the abandonment of a 50-foot portion of the
dedicated vehicular access rights on the south side of White Lane
at its intersection with Shelby Loop, in the City of Bakersfield,
County of Kern, State of California, be and the same is hereby
closed up and vacated for public street purposes, subject to and
in conformity with the following condition:
Access at the proposed location shall be
controlled by median construction and shall
be limited to right turn in, left turn in,
and right turn out movements only.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and~ shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on November 4, 1987 , by
the following vote:

Maps at Page 190 in the office of the Kern County Recorder, mo~e particularly
described as follows:
Beginning at a point on said South Right of way line frc~n whence the Northwest
cornor of Pa~-cel "A" Of said Pa~;cel Map %8355 beaus North 89 1;744" West, 1.35.50
feet:
Thence South 89 12'44" East on and along said South Right of Way Line, 50.00
feet to the end of this description.
