A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD ORDERING THE VACATION OF AN 11.25
FOOT WIDE STRIP ALONG A PORTION OF THE WEST
SIDE OF "O" STREET NORTHERLY OF 34TH STREET
IN THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, on September 23, 1987, the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, pursuant to the provisions of the "Public Streets,
Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law," being Chapter 3 of
Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, passed and adopted its Resolution of Intention No.
1032 declaring its intention to order the vacation of an 11.25
foot wide strip along a portion of the west sLde of "O" Street
northerly of 34th Street in the City of Bakersfield, County of
Kern, State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Council did fix a time and place for hear-
ing all persons interested in or objecting to said proposed aban-
donment, which said hearing was held on November 4, 1987, after
notices were duly published and posted as required by law; and
WHEREAS, this Council after duly considering the matter,
does hereby find and resolve as follows:
1. That an 11.25 foot wide strip along a portion of the
west side of "0" Street northerly of 34th Street in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, more particu-
larly described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part
hereof, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
purposes.
2. That an 11.25 foot wide strip along a portion of the
west side of "O" Street northerly of 34th Street in the City of
Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California, be and the same
is hereby closed up, vacated and abandoned for public street pur-
poses, subject to and in conformity with any :reservations and
exceptions contained in Exhibit "A" of Resolution of Intention No.
1032 and contemplated by said Resolution of Intention. Reference
to said Resolution of Intention is hereby made for further par-
ticulars.
3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this Resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof, attested
by the Clerk under the seal of the City, to be recorded in the
office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern, California.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on November 4, 1987 , by

EXHIBIT "A"
STREET VACATION
Three parcels of land situated in the City of Baker'sfield, County of Kern,
State of California, being a portion of Section 19, Township 29 South,
Range 28 East, M.D.B.&M., more particularly descriked as follows:
Parcel No. 1
Beginning at the southeast corner of Block 656, the
Northern Division as said Block 656 is shcwn on the
"Map of the City of Bakersfield" recorded April 26,
1889 in Book 1 of Maps, Page 21 in the Office of
the Kern County Recorder;
Thence Northerly along the East line of said Block
656 a distance of 680.24 feet;
Thence Easterly along a line perpendicular to said
East line of Block 656, a distance of 11.25 feet;
Thence Southerly along a line parallel to said East
Line of Block 656, a distance of 680.24 feet;
Thence Westerly along a line perpendicular to said
East line of Block 656, a distance of 11.2!5 feet to
the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING as an easement for Public
Storm Drain line the North 15 feet of the South
430.24 feet of above described Parcel No. 1.
Parcel No. 2
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Block 632B of
Jewett Subdivision as shown on "Map of City of
Bakersfield," filed in the Office of the C¢mntyRecorder
of Kern County, July 15, 1909, in Book 1 of Maps, at
page 121;
Thence Northerly along the East line of Lots 5 & 6,
a distance of 275.24 feet;
Thence Easterly along a prolongation of the North
line of said Lot 5, to intersect a line parallel with and
11.25 feet Easterly of, as measured perpendicular to said
easterly line of Lot 5;

to intersect a point; which point is defir~d by measurinq
11.25 feet northerly along the East line of Lot 6, from [he
Southeast corner thereof; and also Easterly, per pendicular
to the East line of said Lot 6, a distance. of 11.25 feet to
said point of intersection;
Thence from said point of intersection Southwesterly 15.91
feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING as an easement for Public Utilities
purposes all of above described Parcel No. 2.
Parcel No. 3
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Block 632A of
Jewett Subdivision as shown on said "Map of City of
Bakersfield;"
Thence Northerly along the East line of Lots 5 & 6,
a distance of 275.24 feet to the Northeast corner of Lot
5;
Thence Southeasterly 15.91 feet to intersect a point; which
point is defined by measuring 11.25 feet S(mtherly along the
East line of Lot 5; and also Easterly, pe~ndicular to said
East line, a distance of 11.25 feet;
Thence Southerly from last named point, 252.74 feet along a
line parallel with the east line of Lots 5 & 6, to an inter-
sect point; which is defined as a point 11.25 feet Northerly
along the East line of Lot 6, from the Southeast corner
thereof; and also Easterly, perpendicular to the East line
of said Lot 6, a distance of 11.25 feet to said point of
intersection;
Thence from said point of intersection Southwesterly 15.91
feet to the point of beginning.
EXCEPTING AND RESERVING as an easement for Public Utilities
purposes all of above described Parcel No. 3.
