As shown on Kern County 1986-87 Tax Rate Schedule. - . How will the difference in tax rates affect a house with a market value of $50,000.00? If the house is used as the principal residence, the $7000. home owners exemption leaves $43,000 for taxin~ purposes. The City Bond rate of 0.005S05% amounts to a difference of $2.37 more per year on a house of this vah~e.
