RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN USED CARS CANNOT BE REASONABLY
OBTAINED THROUGH USUAL BIDDING PROCEDURES AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the Bakersfield Police Department and the Building
Department is in need of used cars of a variety of makes and models, to be
used for Police surveillance and City business, and
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has recommended
that this Council find, that used cars for the Police and Building departments
cannot reasonably be obtained by usual bidding procedures in accordance with
Section 3.20.060 B of the Bakersfield Muncipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield as follows:
Council hereby finds that five used cars cannot be reasonably
obtained through the usual bidding procedure, and authorizes the Finance
Director to dispense with bidding therefor and to negotiate the purchase of
same.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on September 9, 1987 , by
