RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD
DETERMINING THAT A CERTAIN AUDITORIUM SEAT COVERS CAN
BE REASONABLY OBTAINED FROM ONLY ONE VENDOR AND
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR TO DISPENSE WITH
BIDDING THEREFOR.
WHEREAS, the Finance Director has determined, and has
recommended that this Council find, that auditorium seat covers for
the auditorium can be reasonably obtained from only one vendor and
has recommended that this Council authorize dispensing with bidding
therefor in accordance with Section 3.20.060 B. of the
Bakersfield Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
The Council hereby finds that auditorium seat covers
for the auditorium can be obtained from only one vendor because
the best cost and fabric color and quality can be provided by the
original manufacturers to wit: American Seating and Comfortweave
and authorizes the Finance Director to dispense with bidding there-
for and to negotiate the purchase of same from such vendor not to
exceed $25,000.00.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on AUGUST 26, 1987 , by
the following vote:
