RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF
STREET NAMES AND ADDRESSES IN TRACT 3952
(SUNRISE ESTATE), IN THE CITY OF BAKERS-
FIELD.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Bakersfield held a public hearing on June 18, 1987, on the pro-
posed street name changes set forth below, notice of the time and
place of that hearing having been given at least ten (10) calen-
dar days before by publication in the Bakersfield Californian, a
local newspaper of general circulation; and
WHEREAS, such proposed designation includes:
(a) The naming of two north-south streets and five
east-west streets to Estate Street, Paramount Street, Biltmore
Lane, Prestige Lane, Sahara Lane, Suncrest Lane and Titan Lane
respectively; and
(b) To designate the address ranges to these north-
south streets and east-west lanes respectively from 4100 to 4416
and from 3500 to 3609 as shown in the project map.
WHEREAS, the above-described street name changes will
not result in any physical change in the environment and it is
therefore determinec[ that the proposal is not a project as
defined by California Environmental Quality (CEQA) Guidelines
(Section 15378) and it is exempted from the requirements of CEQA.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, at the conclusion of
the above-reference~ hearing, adopted its Resolution No. 22-87,
recommending approval of the proposed name changes described
above.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1. The above recitals, incorporated herein, are true
and correct.
The proposal is supported by a majority of property
owners of Tract 3952. No property owner appeared at
the above-referenced hearing in opposition to the
proposal or submitted any written opposition.
3. The address ranges proposed are consistent with the
existing adjacent addresses.
The proposal street names do not conflict with other
existing street names in the metropolitan area of
the City of Bakersfield.
The proposal will improve the efficiency of the
911 Emergency Response System in the area.
Approval of the project will not have any signifi-
cant fiscal impact upon affected property owners
or tenants.
The proposed street name changes, are hereby
approved, effective 30 days from the date of adop-
tion of this Resolution.
The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of this
resolution to the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Kern as required by Government Code Section 34092.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on July 15, 1987 , by
