A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD MAKING FINDINGS THAT NO WRITTEN
PROTEST HAS BEEN FILED AND ORDERING THE
TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS PROCEEDING NO. 920,
ANNEXATION NO. 311 (PANAMA NO. 7), ANNEXED
TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, Resolution of Application No. 162-86, dated
November 5, 1986, was submitted to the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Kern County ("Commission") for the annexation of
territory to the City of Bakersfield designated as Proceeding No.
920, Annexation No. 311 (Panama No. 7); and
WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing upon
posal was held before the Commission on the 24th day

WHEREAS, following said public hearing the Commission,
on February 24, 1987, adopted its Resolution Making Determin-
ation, being Resolution No. 87-7, recorded in Minute Book 34 of
said Commission; and
WHEREAS, on March 11, 1987, the Council of the City of
Bakersfield adopted its Resolution No. 42-87 initiating pro-
ceedings for annexation of the said territory to the City of
Bakersfield and setting Wednesday, April 8, 1987, at the hour of
7:00 p.m. (or as soon thereafter as the matter could be heard)
in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, 1501Truxtun Avenue,
Bakersfield, California, as the time, date and place of hearing on
the proposed annexation and the owners of land within the said
territory were duly informed of their right to file written pro-
tests against the annexation with the City Clerk at any time prior
to the conclusion of the hearing on the proposed annexation; and
WHEREAS, the public hearing was duly and regularly con-
ducted by and before the City Council at its meeting of April 8,
1987, in all respects in accordance with Resolution No. 42-87.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council[ of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
1. In accordance with Section 57075 of the Government
Code, it is hereby found that written protests, if any, have been
filed and not withdrawn by owners of land and improvements who
own less than 50% of the total assessed land and improvements
with the territory.
2. The description of the exterior boundaries of the
territory annexed is contained in Exhibit "A", attached hereto
and incorporated in this Resolution as though fully set forth
herein.
3. That the said territory designated as Proceeding No.
920, Annexation No. 311 (Panama No. 7), and described herein, and
every part thereof, is hereby ordered annexed to the City of
Bakersfield.
4. That the Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified
copy of this resolution ordering a change of organization, along
with any required remittance to cover the fees required by
Section 54902.5 of the Government Code, to the executive officer
of the Local Agency Formation Commission of Kern County.
5. That the executive officer of the Commission is
hereby requested to prepare and execute a certificate of comple-
tion and make the filings required by Part 4, Chapter 8 of the
Cortese-Knox Local Government Organization Act of 1985 and record
a certified copy of the certification of completion with the
recorder of Kern County, with the surveyor of Kern County and
with the Clerk of the City of Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a
regular meeting thereof held on April 8, 1987 , by

ANNEXATION NO. 311
A parcel of land situated in the County of Kern,
portion of Sections 19 and 30, Township 30 South,
particularly described as follows:
State of California, being a
Range 28 East, M.D.M. more
Beginning at the point of intersection of the West right of way line South Union
Avenue and the North line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast quarter of said
Section 19, also being the North line of lot 9 as shown on Sales Map No. 1 of
lands of J. B. Haggin, Section 19, Township 30 South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.&M.,
Kern County, California filed May 3, 1889, in Book "M" of maps at page 5 in the
Office of the Kern County Recorder. Said point of intersection being on the
existing corporate boundary of the City of Bakersfield and is the point of
beginning for this description;
Thence (1) South on and a]long said South Union Avenue West right of way line and
southerly projection thereof, a distance of 1321.30 feet to a point on the
center line of Fairview Road;
Thence (2) continuing South on and along said West right of way line and projec-
tions thereof, a distance of 2672.60 feet to a point on the South right of way
line of Panama Lane (60.00 foot wide road) also being the South line of the
North 30.00 feet of said Section 30;
Thence (3) West on and along said South right of way line, a distance of 1262.25
feet to a point on the southerly projection of the West line of the East 1/2 of
the Southeast 1/4 of said Section 19;
Thence (4) North along said West line and projection thereof a distance of
2672.72 feet to a point o~ the center line of Fairview Road;
Thence (5) North along the West line of the Southeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4
of said Section 19, a distance of 1321.36 feet to a point on the existing
Corporate Boundary of the City of Bakersfield;
Thence (6) East on and along the last named Corporate Boundary to the point of
beginning.
